Verb 'to be' (past) ('was' and 'were') Part 3

EXERCISE ONE

Read the dialogue and fill in the blanks with 'was' ,  'were', 'wasn't' and 'weren't'

Gina: How ------- the picnic yesterday?
Peter: It ------- fantastic.
Gina: What ------- the weather like? ------- it  sunny?
 Peter: Well, it ------- sunny in the morning, but when we got there it ------- cloudy.
Gina: ------- Mary and her family with you? She ------ so excited about the picnic.
Peter: No, she -------. She ------- ill.
Gina: What a pity! ------- it serious?
Peter: No, it -------. She ------- down with flue but she is OK now.
Gina: How about your uncle?
Peter: He ------- with us and we had a  great time together. So, how ------- your weekend?
